Reunión sobre el PGOU con miembros de la oposición municipal
El alcalde de Vélez-Málaga, Antonio Moreno Ferrer (PSOE) ha mantenido esta mañana una reunión con técnicos municipales y miembros de la oposición, para explicarles los detalles del documento del Pan General de Ordenación Urbana de Vélez-Málaga (PGOU) en el que se trabaja desde el consistorio para sustituir el actual PGOU vigente desde el año 1996. Moreno Ferrer ha destacado que el documento obedece a un modelo de ciudad más accesible, habitable y sostenible, favorece el turismo y el desarrollo de los territorios, ofrece seguridad jurídica a los inversores y considera clave la participación ciudadana.
El encuentro sirvió para que los diferentes grupos políticos pudiesen conocer los detalles del nuevo instrumento de ordenación urbana de la ciudad, exponer sus dudas y obtener respuesta a las mismas, lo cual fue agradecido por los participantes. En el mes de julio el alcalde mantuvo otra reunión con los grupos políticos y con representantes de colectivos y asociaciones de la ciudad para presentarles también los avances integrados en el PGOU, y habrá nuevos encuentros «con el fin de favorecer la participación ciudadana en este tipo de medidas que afectan al desarrollo de la ciudad y para poder proceder a su aprobación inicial».
El alcalde de Vélez-Málaga ha asegurado que es necesaria la exposición y el debate público para favorecer la máxima información y transparencia hacia la corporación municipal y los vecinos y vecinas y para que la administración y la ciudadanía construyan conjuntamente una ciudad más moderna y sostenible, más accesible y mejor comunicada y que dé cabida a proyectos que atiendan la demanda de más vivienda social, más aparcamientos y un mejor servicio de transporte.
